I knew I was on the right career path when I was taking UX Design classes at General Assembly and a lot of the material taught was what I had already learned from my time getting my Bachelors in Psychology at Connecticut College and my time at getting my Masters degree in Graphic Design at Suffolk University,
Truly UX Design is about designing for the users in mind. UX Design combines user research and empathy from Psychology and the look and feel from Graphic Design. I love being able to use my design skills to help users in every step of the way from research to sketching to creating. In that way, I can alleviate the user's problems, whatever that may be. I love the Design Process!
As you can tell from this site, I am a huge sports fan. When I’m not designing, I’m most likely playing fantasy sports, watching a game or running in Boston. I also co-host a podcast, Lace Em’ Up, where we discuss what is going on in the hockey world once a week.
Lastly, I am a co-lead for the Boston Chapter of Climate Designers. Design is all about solving the world’s problem and it is nice to have a community of creative people who want to be sustainable. Community building is one of my greater passions and If we’re going to fight this climate crisis, we’re going to all have to stay connected.
Drop me a line for any design inquires or even if you just want to chat about sports or sustainability.
